Not knowing what 2021 and COVID precautions had in store for Angeles Millwork and Hartnagels, we decided to take a careful approach and specifically fund some community-building projects that our employee-owners believe will positively impact our community.
Brought to our attention by Port Angeles Dream Playground board member and Hartnagel’s Retail Sales Manager, Dean Langdon, the sponsorship of the new playground was an easy decision. Our companies believe strongly in supporting outlets for our community’s youth that encourage being active and challenged. We truly believe that, at its essence, building our community begins with the support of its youth.

The Port Angeles Dream Playground, originally built in 2002, was in desperate need of revitalization from years of continuous play. The redesign, which had local schoolchildren’s input, focuses on safety and built-in activities that offer greater interaction to furthers imaginative and natural play.
The city of Port Angeles, corporate sponsors, and individual contributions have raised a large portion of the cost of materials, but there is still a need for additional assistance.
The Charno Family Grant has been generously donated to encourage connection with the community and local investment. Cash donations in any form, including donations used toward engraved brick or picket purchases, are eligible for matching. When you donate before April 31st, any amount from $25 to $500 will be matched by the Charno Family.
This means that all donations made before April 31st will be DOUBLED!
