We have witnessed some impressive results from our industry leading associations. With decades of building partnerships in government and the community, decisive actions, and late-night efforts with continual communication, our industry is back to work.
The COVID19 events which have thrown our world upside down could have been much worse for the building industry if it were not for the accomplishments of the Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW).
When the shut-down was announced, the 170-year-old association and other industry advocates went to working overtime. With safety being at the forefront, the BIAW and their industry partners took immediate actions that ultimately resulted in the industry returning to work in a much quicker timeframe than was thought possible.
Locally we look to appreciate and highlight the North Peninsula Building Association (NPBA) and their involvement with our community of building professionals. Their mission is to represent builders and associates of the building industry while advocating constant improvement of building and business practices to provide quality construction in the community. The NPBA’s communication through their website and Facebook page during the shutdown of non-essential construction has been a reliable go to for information, support and guidance.
Verbal appreciation and online kudos are great, but it is important that companies and workers who benefit from their results show tangible support through membership.
We encourage all our professional clients to become a member of the NPBA by filling in the form HERE, paying the annual due of $450 and reaping the incredible benefits it provides for its members.
When you join the NPBA, you receive a 3-in-1 Benefit which automatically makes you a member of the BIAW and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The NPBA, BIAW, and the NAHB, create a powerful, united front that helps members make the most of their membership investment.
- NPBA Membership is the key to your community. It offers members referral services, networking and low-cost advertising, trade shows and events, and community service projects.
- BIAW Membership works on the state level by working vigorously on behalf of members and is a resource on legislative and legal issues; regulatory and building codes; and other industry-related issues. We also offer a competitive health insurance program, continuing education classes, disseminate and distribute statewide housing data, and many other cost-cutting benefits that help members enhance and improve their business.
- NAHB Membership works on the national level to achieve professional success for its members who build communities, create jobs, and strengthen our economy.
The current environment with COVID19 is constantly changing for every industry and business. It can easily plant seeds of doubt, fear, and confusion, which are far from ideal emotions to run a successful business. Now more than ever, we need to ensure that those who continuously fight for the building industry know that we have their back.
