As a Customer Experience & Retail Sales Specialist, you’ll play a key role in our retail operations, helping customers find the right solutions for their building and renovation needs. This is more than a retail role, it’s the first step on a career path that can lead to Pro Sales and Contractor Sales, where your skills and leadership can truly shine.
What You’ll Do:
- Consistently deliver an exceptional in-person and over-the-phone customer experience with a focus on building trust and long-term relationships.
- Support customers in navigating products, pricing, inventory, and promotions
- Recommend related products to meet customer needs
- Learn and stay current on building products, tools, materials, and their uses
- Handle transactions, returns, and special orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe merchandising areas
- Communicate with receiving and yard crews to ensure smooth operations
- Resolve customer issues with empathy and a focus on long-term satisfaction
- Represent our brand with pride, professionalism, and care
- Participate in company training and development opportunities
- Embrace teamwork and contribute to a strong, service-oriented culture
What We’re Looking For:
- 1+ year of experience in retail, customer service, or sales (building supply experience a plus)
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for helping people and solving problems
- Willingness to learn and grow into more advanced roles
- Basic cash handling and POS experience preferred
- Ability to lift/move materials as needed and follow safety procedures
