Product Overview

Z metal flashing is a water-impermeable metal strip that protects horizontal joints in exterior walls from water intrusion. Shaped like a "Z," it is also known as "Z-bar" or "Z-flashing". The Z-shaped profile is designed to direct water away from the building envelope. It is installed at the point where one layer of siding or sheathing ends and another begins. Z flashing is used to protect vulnerable horizontal seams in many exterior construction projects, including siding and trim, above windows and doors, deck ledger boards, and roof-to-wall transitions. Z flashing comes in a variety of materials and dimensions to suit different projects.
