2024 Habitat for Humanity Build Class

Habitat Clallam is excited to offer an 8-week construction skills course at the Ketchum Veteran Cottages in Port Angeles. This hands-on training program is designed to provide participants with practical experience and knowledge in building and construction. Participants will work on a real project while gaining valuable skills that can lead to future opportunities in the construction industry. Whether you are looking to start a career in construction or enhance your existing skills, this course is the perfect opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a supportive environment.

Days & Times

• Start Date: Thursday, August 29th
• Time: 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
• Schedule: Thursdays & Fridays
• Duration: 8 weeks (until October 11th)
• Lunch Break: 30 minutes (bring your lunch)

Attendance Requirements

• Minimum Attendance: 90% over the 8-week course
• Total Days: 16 days (attendance tracked each day)
• Tools & Safety Gear: Provided at the beginning of the course
  • Retention Requirement: Must maintain 90% attendance to keep the provided tools and safety gear
  • Consequences of Low Attendance: If attendance falls below 90%, tools and safety gear must be returned to Habitat Clallam
